Travis Goodman - Assistant Program Director / Monday - Friday Morning Anchor

Travis GoodmanAfter spending much of my life bouncing from city to city, province to province as a child of a banking family, I couldn't be happier to be settled in the greatest city in the world. Albeit one with some serious traffic problems. When the opportunity presented itself to help launch AM730 All Traffic All The Time, I jumped at the chance and am extremely pleased with my decision. The daily grind of a commute is challenging at the best of times, but the knowledge that we are making a difference and helping as many people as we are makes it all worth while.

I have worked in a variety of roles during my radio career and have experience in sports radio, news radio, and several music formats. I never would've expected that traffic would be the most interesting and challenging but that is certainly the case. Especially during the rainy West Coast winters.

I'm currently living in Delta with my wife, daughter and dog and spend most of my time watching hockey, trekking through the many paths of Delta's beautiful Water Shed, and just enjoying the simple things in life.

Adam Hoffar - Monday to Friday Afternoon Anchor

Adam HofferKnown to most as Hurricane Hoff or the Golden Dagger (nobody has actually ever called me either of those, but talk about rad nicknames!)

I’m a local lad through and through. I graduated from BCIT in the Radio Broadcasting program in 2004, went to work at MTFM in beautiful Sea to Sky country, and then an opportunity came up to work back in the big smoke…

That opportunity was AM730. I consider myself pretty lucky to be working with such a great team in one of the best cities in the world!

Chelsea Hobbis - Monday to Friday Afternoon Anchor

Chelsea HobbisEnergetic, entertaining and enthusiastic are just a few words to describe Chelsea.

After working in the promotions department at CFOX, ROCK 101, CKNW, and AM730 she discovered her life’s calling… to make sure you get from point A to point B (and back again) in the most efficient way possible, this would come in the form of being a AM730 traffic reporter.

When she’s not saving Vancouverites from stalls and accidents she can be found searching for inner peace by practicing yoga.

Ed Garcia - Evening and Weekend Anchor

Ed GarciaName: Ed Garcia

Height: 5' 10"

Weight: 185lbs

Born: May 13th in a land far, far away. I share the same birthday as Joe Louis, Stevie Wonder, Dennis Rodman, Stephen Cobert, Hootie (from the Blowfish), Buckethead, and former Vancouver Grizzly great Mike Bibby... OK, he wasn't really that great but he was better than most of them. They were pretty bad.

Favourite Bridge: The Dinsmore

Favourite Ferry: The Queen of Alberni

Favourite Border Crossing: The Truck

Favourite Highway: The 91

Likes: In the moment traffic reports

Dislikes: Snow, icy roads, new facebook, the Dallas Cowboys, Nicolas Cage, and waiting 10 minutes for a traffic update

Asa Rehman - AM730 Morning Anchor

Asa RehmanI am privileged to have lived my entire life in the Metro Vancouver area. Growing up in the city, I made good use of my bicycle during my early years. Riding up to Nat Bailey with friends for the seventh inning stretch would be a fun way to kick it ol’ skool.

Once in high school I’d hop on the UBC bus heading west on 41st to Granville. After high school, I headed east on the 401 to Trinity Western University.

Over the last couple years I moved back into the city, got an amaizing job at AM730, got married to a pretty sweet chick and beat my high score in Donkey Kong. Things are looking up!

Aleta Wilson - AM730 Morning Anchor

Aleta WilsonNAME: Aleta Wilson

OCCUPATION: Traffic Goddess... a.k.a AM730 morning traffic reporter

LIKES: Talking for a living, Facebook, coffee, ponies, neon green, shopping, and the North Shore Mountains.

DISLIKES: Being stuck in traffic, food/candy shaped like animals and Travis’ baby blue sweater.

HOBBIES: SHOPPING? Can that be a hobby? I vote yes. also horseback riding, and skiing.

BEFORE AM730: I worked in the Promotion department for Corus Radio Vancouver and also part time as an op for CFOX and Rock 101. Before that I was in Northern B.C. as the Afternoon host and Music Director for a small FM station.

Trish Jewison - Evening and Weekend Anchor

Trish JewisonNicknames: Trish the Dish, Trishy, Splishy, and Tricialicious

Trish joined the AM730 traffic team after working as a traffic and weather reporter at other radio stations in the Lower Mainland. A graduate of Columbia Academy School of Broadcasting Arts, she was the recipient of their “2007 Newscaster of the Year Award”.

In another life, Trish was part of the corporate wheel of doom – administrating from business empire to business empire. Much happier in her new role of helping people get from point A to point B, Trish now uses her powers for good instead of evil.

Suzy Patrick - Evening and Weekend Anchor

Suzy PatrickNicknames: Q / Kitten / The Suzz

A BCIT graduate, I started out at Mojo Radio as a model in promotions. I have now been with Corus for 7 years, working for CFOX/CKNW/CFMI/AM730 in a variety of roles. I am so happy to be working with such an amazing team, helping great people like you get from point A to point B around the city and living out my radio dream!

Some of my interests include yoga, hockey, boxing, biking, snowboarding and skimboarding.

Sean Cruz - Weekday Overnight Anchor

Sean CruzSean caught the radio bug during his college years, hosting and producing a weekly show for an internet radio station (something he still does today). After college, work and taking time off to travel, Sean decided that this radio thing might be a pretty good gig. After graduating from Columbia Academy’s broadcasting program, Sean started working at AM730, dealing with a massive snowfall his very first day on the job!

Outside of work and in between sleep, video games, and television, Sean runs a floor hockey league, and volunteers his time at Anime Evolution, a local 3-day event promoting Asian pop culture.

Amber Belzer - Anchor

Amber BelzerAmber is a graduate of BCIT’s Radio Broadcasting program in 2005, first finding work in Squamish and then moving to on-air in Williams Lake. Then Amber joined Sun FM in the Okanagan as the afternoon drive host weekdays on a Top 40 station for 2.5 years. Amber joined the AM730 Traffic team in 2008 by filling in from the air in the AM730 Traffic helicopter.

Matt Coppin - Evening and Weekend Anchor

Matt CoppinStraight out of high school I knew the usual university route wasn’t for me quite yet; therefore, onto radio! Just a few months after graduating secondary school, I was right back learning at Columbia Academy, completing my certificate in August 2007. I was then offered the opportunity to stay local and work overnights at AM730. The rest pretty much writes itself. I now find myself filling a variety of on-air shifts, but for the better part, you can hear me during the evenings and weekends.

As for myself personally, I reside across the Fraser River, through the farmland and in the boonies also known as Langley. Now living that far from work, and transiting most days, I can truthfully say I know your commuting pains. On my days off I do what most Vancouverites enjoy: sushi, concerts and cheering our boys in blue - the Canucks.

Carly Walde - Evening and Weekend Anchor

Carly WaldeHailing from a little farm town called Chilliwack, Carly grew up jockeying for the spotlight amidst four theatrical siblings, and learned at an early age how to hold her own in a crowd of dynamic individuals. Luckily this prepped Carly for BCIT’s Broadcast Journalism program, and after getting out alive in 2007 she worked through the world of TV, from coordinating to hosting, from writing to producing, and came to surface in the field of radio announcing with AM730 All Traffic All The Time, where she gets a vast fulfillment from talking at a normal decibel and having her two cents heard without a fight. And when those two cents help keep you from chewing the steering wheel in frustration, that makes Carly especially happy.

In her spare time, Carly keeps her vocal chords limber by singing with a local Vancouver band in venues around the LM, and, of course, talking over her siblings at the occasional family gathering.
